Luke 8: The Kingdom of Free Will

This entry is part 11 of 49 in the series Luke

Kingdoms throughout the ages have been set up by force. Hostile takeovers have been the defining characteristic of the empires of man throughout recorded history. The previous superpower is overcome by the strength of the next superpower, and the next, and the next, and so it goes on.

The foundational theme of the entire Bible is “Proclaiming the Kingdom of God.” So that’s the goal. All of the problems here on this world stem from the fact that we need a better kingdom, we need God’s kingdom.

God’s kingdom will be different than any other kingdom set up on this earth, a kingdom not based on force and overpowering strength, but rather on free will.
